More of South America

COMING SOON

Most Americans overlook the wealth of vacation options offered by South America. Plus they forget South America’s climate is the opposite of the United States. Our winter is their summer, which should make it an ideal destination to escape the cold and dreary winters in the U.S. So in January and February, relax and enjoy the warm sun and water on idyllic beaches in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador.

Visit its bustling cities like Buenos Aires or Lima. Join in the festivities and pageantry of Carnival in Rio de  Janeiro. See the largest falls in the world, the amazing Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian-Argentina border. It is made up of 275 different falls. Or if you are up for it, make the trek to tallest waterfalls in the world, Angel Falls in Venezuela. At its summit of Auyan Tepui mountain, the falls drop 2,647 feet straight down and then cascade down another 560 feet.

Take a horse-drawn carriage through the 16th century streets of Cartagena, Colombia. The cobblestone streets are lined with brightly colored homes built in the Spanish Colonial tradition. Learn about the Spanish Conquistadors and how they settled and defended the area.

Of course one of the top bucket-list trips to South America is to the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu set high in the mountains of Peru. Built in the 15th century this UNESCO World Heritage site was rediscovered in 1911.

Whatever your interests and budget, we have land vacation options for you. Plus if you want a custom vacation tailored just for you, we have over 100 in-country specialists who can work with us to craft that truly unique vacation you’ll talk about for years.
